Mission success:Approaching problems

Life is a journey which throws so many thorns in its own path. Reaching any milestone in our life requires real efforts. There are so many of us who wish that procuring things could have been effortless, but hey, wait a moment, will that really make you contended except for a few moments of getting it? There are somethings of the human nature I am unable to fathom.
Success is something which we all wish; may it be scoring real good marks in exam, reaching an ambitious position in our professional career. Imagine yourself placed in a football field and your team scores all the goals without anyone moving in the field: even if your team wins, will it be worth the joy?? Without a dime worth effort will it be justified to claim victory? Even at work, we wish that our work gets done automatically without our intervention and our accounts get filled with money.Though the above mentioned scenario's are  imaginary ones but the very thought of it makes one feel so odd. Well folks, efforts make our life worth living. It provides us with the path to achieve something big. Life would just get as boring and lethargic without their presence.Intelligent efforts differentiate us from animals and if we wish to be lethargic then even an animal who doesn't possess the intelligence of a human being is putting in more efforts. What is the use of living such a life where everything is spoon-fed, easy to obtain. One fine day, there might be no importance left for the expensive things which we buy, nothing to crave for, no reason to live in life except for a few years.
The only thing which differentiates people with the above mentioned thoughts with the people who have actually made it big is the approach towards problems. There are two key words which the dictionary hosts namely "optimism" and "pessimism" which acts as a differentiator. Let me take an example to make it clear. In my engineering college, I happened to be an onlooker to one of the incidents which inspired me to write this blog. There were 5 people who were involved in merrymaking in a laboratory session and the faculty caught hold of the same and cancelled their attendance. The faculty asked them to execute the program based on the concept by themselves and show the working to her if they wished to get back their attendance. As opposed to other people's nay approach towards these sort of methods, there was this one guy who had a different perspective to the whole issue; he opined that "he found a new avenue to learn". The whole episode gave him a reason to put efforts to learn and get his attendance back. Those naysayers, too got their attendance back but by copying what he had done. There were two things to note in this incident, one is the approach and the other is the joy. Yes, the person who slogged hard had a joy to boast of which I found in nobody else. I could see the efforts bringing his success some additional colours as opposed to others for whom it seemed routine.  This may just seem as trivial a story to say but it conveys the right message. The joy of anything obtained by sheer efforts beats all the other ecstasies.
These problems as they are said are not to be considered to be a wall between you and success instead, an opportunity to learn something new and making yourself more worthy of the result which you wish to obtain. If someone ever thinks, why someone else got to a position which he\she always dreamt of getting but could not, the only answer to this would be the approach, maybe the person at a high position may have faced all the problems with optimism and will while others may have chosen to avoid confronting those problems and playing safe.
So folks thats all for today. I hope I soaked that lethargy from you!! have a good day!!

Why Movies turn out to be so entertaining and satiating

I recently happened to ponder over the fact that for a plethora of us, movies are very entertaining and we often keep staring at the screen for hours! There are so many reasons which one could give but I would like to share what I feel about movies.
First and foremost, let me talk about the movies which are fictional implying that the things portrayed in them cannot happen in this mundane and normal world composed of mortals like us.These are the movies which have garnered the admiration of so many people across varying age limits. Why is it so? Well, the reason I feel is that many of us have utopian aspirations like flying whenever desired, exploring and having an ability to hop from one place to another within a matter of seconds(like any superhero does!). Albeit not possible in the real sense, we find pleasure or joy in observing someone enacting what we actually want to achieve. Isn't it very soothing and bolstering to realise our aspirations atleast virtually!
Secondly, coming to the movies which ends with the just hero flagging victory over the evil. Everybody wants  to see justice realised and we feel so relieved when the just wins. Justice not only implies legal cases but also punishing the ones who have cheated us at some point in life and have got away unscathed. So many of such movies culminate at a point where the protagonist, who befriends jeopardy is badly beaten up and is on the verge of dying, still gets up out of the blue and all of a sudden takes over the unjust(sometimes myriad in number) and hoists the victory flag! These movies in reality do not deliver justice in our lives, but relieves us with the hope that the just always wins come what may and justice will be delivered. Our unstable and wondering mind finds solace!
I wouldn't elaborate on jocular and comedy movies. They, by all means are entertaining and provide us with the much needed 'hearty laughs' which is in rarity these days.
Movies are more soothing because they provide you the comfort of entertainment that too without stressing much on one's brains. We don't have to strain our brains much here by imagining or thinking but we just have to sit in front of a screen to experience. What more comfort than this?
Life never can give us all the pleasures which we always intend but surely it gives us such sources to remain happy and contended at it being fulfilled and realized somewhere!
Good day!

Towards an 'engineered' life

Engineering is a course which teaches one much more about the intricacies of life as it teaches about the technical aspects. In the tenure of four years one not only becomes a technically sound engineer but also starts leading a engineered life.
One can have three types of worries/pressures whilst doing this course:
1)Worry of the present which includes exams, submissions lined up i.e. the burden of completion.
2)The past worries which includes but is not limited to KT's(for some students), less marks scored which further leads to a present tension of getting good marks.
3)Worries of the future which includes a job security.
When one comes out of the realms of engineering, he/she in consideration can said to have tackled all these burdens with success. These burdens, though in the engineering domain, have a lot to do with one's real lives at a point later in life. One has to keep all these three domains balanced to live a normal life. One learns management of time, which is a quintessential part in so many jobs owing to the fact that a major part of one's studies which has to be managed in the final month before our examination.
Inspite of the aforementioned pressures, we never miss out on the life's enjoyment ride.Engineering life offers us some memorable and unforgettable moments in our life. One gets to know that everything in life can be achieved with focus, hardwork and determination for a limited but highly productive time(with apropos to the last one month of intensive studies). One learns with time that its not just a donkey's hardwork that is required to excel in life, but smartwork as well, which I term as 'smart-hardwork'. One also makes new acquaintances here in engineering, some of them turn out to be as  friends throughout one's life.Exploring places, hanging out with friends and keeping any relationship alive are some of the activities which gives one a glimpse of the various social pressures he/she could ever face, though of a different magnitude, in his/her life.
One of the most important part of engineering are the vivas. They teach a person so much about the power of speech. It is not at all necessary to now 100 percent of the answers to the questions posed to you by the examiner. What counts more is the way you project yourself of whatever you know.I call that technique "intelligent speaking".The examiner judges you much more on your presentation and confidence. These skills teach you so much more about decision-making and handling pressure-tight situations in life.
If one wonders what he/she has learnt after the four strenuous years of engineering, I have listed a few which we often tend to ignore.
Good day!
